Since its creation, the main function of the Library has been to give support to the activities and research carried out through forming a relevant Documentation Centre with documentary collections providing essential tools for the development and professional training of the community it serves.
ASIP’s Documentation Centre is under a reorganization stage as regards the development of its processes and the services rendered. This implies a greater commitment towards users with the objective of becoming a reference in budgetary topics and public finances for specialists, researchers, university students and public officers.
The information provided in its data base of regular publications and papers, which contain analytic records of the most relevant national and international seminars and congresses on budgetary issues and public administration – is an important source of reference both for the recovery of updated information, as well as for research requiring retrospective or historic background.
Nowadays, the Documentation Centre renders the following services:
- Consultations in the reading-room
- Distant consultations – telephone, fax, e-mail, and mail service
- Preparation and delivery of bibliographies
- Check out material for members.
- Personalized assistance
Accompanying the growth of the Association, the Documentation Centre will soon incorporate new services of reproduction and forwarding of documents by different electronic means. For further information, please write to: firstname.lastname@example.org
